Nice to see the sun..... it makes it Otter

Spent most the morning at Pwll Penarth today when a Otter caught my eye fishing by the weir.

Had a lot of problems with the light as I was shooting into the sun and the glare from the water was playing tricks with the auto focus so when I got a few record shots just there and enjoyed it, watched them for just over an hour.

`Kittens` at L C y D

A total of 7 kittens appeared from the burrow to the left of the hide at 08. 30hrs today and took breakfast of fresh green vegetation.

Nothing special but it would appear all the young rabbits are suffering from myxomatosis, a fatal viral disease, and perhaps the 'powers to be' should be informed. The adults seem ok.

The Grey Squirrel was enjoying the new buds on the gorse.

An Adder was seen on the path from Welshpool to Powis Castle on Saturday about 6.30pm

In the canal today

The tadpoles are developing nicely.  They are starting to wriggle around.

A couple of Caddisfly Larva.  There were a lot of them in the canal.

Down The River

Down the river in Newtown where I regulary visit and have found a place where Bank Vole seem to be in big numbers, Counted 12 all busy in the early morning sun. Also my first Speckled Wood of the year.
